Fibre Artist | Sculpteure de fibres

A key aspect of my work is the merging of ancient crafts into fibre art. I have experimented with techniques such as crochet, knots, bends, weaving and needlework that I adapted and created for the needs of each project. in the last decades, I committed myself to employing only recycled material. I want to promote the idea of reusing in the process of making art. A large-scale project can take a year to three years to complete and perhaps more if you include the transformation process. But no matter what the challenges are, it’s always rewarding.

 

La caractéristique dominante de mon travail est l’intégration de techniques artisanales vers la sculpture de la fibre. J’ai expérimenté avec des techniques telles le crochet, les nœuds, les torsades, le tissage et le travail à l’aiguille, que j’ai adaptées et créés selon les besoins de chaque projet. Au cours des dernières décennies, je me suis engagée à n’utiliser que des matériaux recyclés, Je veux promouvoir l’idée de la réutilisation dans le processus de création. Un projet à grande échelle peut prendre jusqu’à trois ans à réaliser et peut-être plus si l’on inclut le processus de transformation. Mais peu importe les défis, cela en vaut toujours la peine.
